I’m paraphrasing a well-known scripture with a slight shift in focus. It says that to gain a friend, you must first show yourself friendly. I would add that to be trusted, you have to prove yourself trustworthy. Trust is something you BUILD, not something you claim. We’re also instructed to be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove. That means you shouldn’t blindly trust or befriend every spirit you encounter. Discernment matters. Pay attention, test what’s in front of you by the spirit and recognize who is aligned and who is not.
How do you prove your trust?
Trust can look like consistency. It can look like holding yourself accountable through honesty and humility. To prove yourself as someone who is trustworthy, you have to be the reliable thing people can count on.
How do you protect your trust?
Because if it’s not protected it’ll be abused like a street walker. It has to be reciprocal in ordered for it to be protected.
How do you keep your trust?
Trust isn't a thing you win once. You keep it by showing up the same in the room and out of it, when it pays and when it costs. I started Articol to prove that creative work can be built on that.
